Almost ten years ago I went to this jungle-resort in Chitwan (Nepal) that was completely powered by solar energy. Everything from the geyser to the lamps worked on solar energy, but the only thing is that we could not
recharge our gadgets on location, as there was no facility for that. We had to rely on AA batteries. Ten years hence, technology has thus progressed and we have things like Brunton’s SolarRoll to help us out. It is available in three sizes and can power a variety of things including laptops, PDAs, satellite phone, GPS devices, cell phones, video camera, digital camera etc. They even claim that the SolarRoll can charge your car battery as well. The SolarRoll is ideal for those into adventure sports like mountaineering and sea kayaking. Brunton SolarRoll is available in different sizes and costs between $199-$499 depending on which model you buy.

With Skype really starting to take off, gadgets are popping up all over the place for it. If you are on the go all of the time, chances are that you already have enough stuff to carry around. That’s when the folks over at Gadget-USB got thinking and decided to make their mouse a Skype compatible phone.
The Portable Skype Travel Mouse comes loaded with tons of features to keep you happy. It has an LCD display, hands free capabilities, called ID, multi-language support, volume control and more. To top it all off, the mouse isn’t a flip phone but instead has a sliding cover and has an 800 DPI optical sensor. The mouse-phone is going to set you back about $50 after shipping but if you are on the go more than at home and a Skype user, you will probably find this a small price to pay for something that you will use on a regular basis.

This is the OFA Digital 12 (URC7781) from One to One. No, it doesn’t have a particularly catchy name, but this little gadget could become the lazy person’s new best friend, given that it can control up to 12 different appliances in your home. TVs, DVD players, freeview boxes - you name it. It even has the ability to switch your lights off, dim them or control a whole cluster of lamps, so technically speaking, you need never get off your chair again. It’ll be available from mid to late November in major stockists including Curry’s, Curry’s Digital, Comet, John Lewis, Maplin, and in Argos from January.

Wide Screen, Slim Panel
Widescreen means cinema-style viewing and an improved overall multimedia experience. Widescreen provides you with more screen real estate so you can get more stuff on your screen at once while the flat panel design makes sure not to take up very much space on your desktop. Whether you are working or playing, wider and flatter truly is better.
High Definition (HD)
Everything looks better in HD and the SP2208WFP with its 1680 x 1050 resolution delivers high definition clarity right to your desktop. The Digital Visual Interface (DVI) with HDCP and HDMI connector can be used with devices such as Blu Ray players, HD-DVD recorders, AV receivers and popular gaming consoles such as PS3.
