When you really love Hello Kitty, it’s safe to say that one of anything featuring her image is never enough. If you know what we mean, you may want to check into the latest high-end entry in the canon: the NEC LaVie G Hello Kitty edition — a follow-up to this Summer’s LaVie — once again featuring images of the ubiquitous cat studded in breathtaking Swarovski crystals. Underneath the glitz you’ll find a 15.4-inch WXGA display, an AMD Turion CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, plus a DVD+RW and a handful of USB ports which will allow you to plug in your Hello Kitty flash drives and the like. Right now this sweet kitty is only available in Japan, and will run you around ¥210,000 ($1,840) — but we don’t think that will stop you.

Managing all your disks can be a pain and I can totally relate to this, because most of my CDs lie helter-skelter. The CD Carousel Plus is an endeavor to manage your CD/DVD in Jukebox fashion. The thing store around 150 disks a via the software + USB cable, you can connect it to your computer, create a database, and afterwards search all the collection of CDs and DVDs by title, or keyword. Incase you know the number of the disc, just use the keypad else double-click the title you want from the search results and the disc is delivered to you in seconds. Other than organizing the disks, it manages to keep them clean, safe and secure. The CD Carousel Plus sells for about $200.

DisplayPort is the most fun when you snag it on the cheap, and according to some leaked specs over on Madbox PC, AMD has a $50 Radeon in the works that’ll have you running that 30-incher off of USB for a pittance. The Radeon HD 3450 card is based on the RV620 core, running at 525MHz, with 256MB of RAM and just a VGA plug to accompany the DisplayPort. The HD 3470 ($60) hits 600MHz and 512MB of RAM, and does DVI, while the HD 3650 ($100) maxes out the trio at 800MHz, with 512MB of RAM as well and the RV635 core to back it up. You might not be thrashing around in Crysis, but HD video and perhaps some last-gen shooters should be totally within your grasp whenever AMD gets these to market.

Motorola has hooked up with Ferrari to freshen up the MOTO Z8 handset. The Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition comes in a sharp red and black color scheme, but otherwise offers the same features as the original Z8, including the UIQ user interface running on the Symbian OS, a 2 megapixel camera, and a microSD expansion card slot. The keypad backlights on the Ferrari edition have been changed to red to match the paint job, and the handset ships with some Ferrari-related content pre-installed.
The Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition includes 2 Ferrari video clips, wallpapers and ringtones, and pre-registration for the Ferrari website. Curiously, the phone also has a full copy of The Bourne Identity movie pre-installed, though that doesn’t have anything to do with Ferrari. The phone is scheduled to be available in Q1 2008, but pricing has not yet been announced.
