Flying Stick Camera

        image             imageimage

The title should be enough to explain what this is. In case it isn’t, it’s a flying stick with a camera! Rub it between your palms to get some kinetic energy stored up. Then release and the Flying Stick automatically takes pictures at set intervals. You know what they say, everybody looks 5 lb lighter when photographed from above.

No mention of specs like camera resolution or memory but hey it’s a concept. If anything, it’s supposed to get your mind thinking, not criticizing.

Some Retro And Nature In My Mobiles

imageimage

It’s not hard to see the future of electronics is all about slim and sleek, metal and glass, technogadgetmatry and multimedia. Is there any room for the retro stylings of yesteryear? And what about nature? Shouldn’t something organic make its way into our hyper-tech designs? Designer Seungchan Lee thinks the CulArt (pronounce Cool Art) concept fulfills both.

Internally you have your typical smartphone design; touchscreen, camera, slim but the physical design differs greatly. First off you’ll notice the wood paneling, you know… to invoke the idea of trees. That’s the nature bit of the design. The included bluetooth headset/remote uses a series of knobs to control the phone’s most basic functions. Clearly retro and clearly pre-80’s. Flip the phone around and you’ll find a rocky textured surface which prevents slippage and reminds you of how much you suck at rock climbing.

Is it really cool?

Vodafone Netherlands introduces mobile digital photo frame

Vodafone is the first mobile operator in the Netherlands to introduce a digital photo frame with integrated sim card. Photos can be sent via the mobile network directly to the digital frame, even from abroad. The sim card in the frame enables a direct upload of the photos onto the screen. Distances are of no importance anymore and the best photo moments can be shared with your loved ones, wherever you are.

Currently available digital photo frames can only show photos from an internal memory card that can be refreshed via Bluetooth or a local wlan connection. The Vodafone photo frame however, with its integrated Vodafone sim card, can receive photos via MMS or the internet. The content of the Vodafone photo frame can therefore immediately be refreshed from any place in the Netherlands or indeed the entire world.
