We was-a gonna write-a thissa whole-a thing-a with an Italian accent. But that would be silly. Especially seeing as you no longer have to go to Italy to enjoy a genuine stonebaked pizza. And we’re not talking about getting some bloke on a moped to deliver a soggy Margherita. We’re talking about buying the bellissimo Stonebake Pizza Oven.
Adjust the timer and grill settings
As well as an upper grill, this brilliant gizmo features a spinning stone element that imparts a unique stonebaked flavour to your favourite circular snacks. Simply pop in a pizza - frozen, fresh, pre-baked, whatever - adjust the dual timer, close the lid and Giovanni’s your uncle. You can even watch the cheese bubbling via a viewing panel in the lid. Mmm…pizza.
Stonebake or
deep dish options
The intense heat generated by this mains-powered baby delivers an authentic-tasting pizza with a gorgeously crispy base before you can say ‘quattro formaggi’. (Well maybe a bit longer). Even a fresh pizza takes only 10 minutes. If you prefer your Giuseppe a little sloppier, just adjust the timer.
As soon as the Stonebake Pizza Oven starts to work its magic, the heady aroma of stonebaked dough fills the air. It’s just like being in a Neapolitan pizzeria. You can almost hear the indecipherable chatter of chefs as they waggle clenched fingers and thumbs. Mamma mia!
What’s under the bonnet?
If you ever tire of pizza (as if), this idiot-proof appliance comes with a special deep dish for cooking all kinds of delicious snacks: from omelettes and pasties to quiches and croissants. Enormous ovens? Who needs ‘em.
We really can’t overstate how fantastically handy this handsome tabletop device is. You’ll never order take-out pizza again. In fact the only order you need to make is right here. Just remember, when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, it’s not amore. It’s a Stonebake Pizza Oven. Grazie e arrivederci!

Inspired by high-end Italian sports cars, designer Tadahito Ishibashi came up with the Brunopasso PD-1—an espresso machine that looks like it should be hauling ass down the highway. Outside of its sleek curves, the illusion is enhanced with dashboard-style gauges and a beechwood lever. But that is not where the similarities end—much like a sports car, the Brunopasso does not come cheap at $850. With Ferrari putting their brand on everything from laptops to Segways these days, I’m sure they are kicking themselves for missing out on this one.

The Electrolux concept by Chris Fox is an adaptable cooking grill(s) designed to function as the centerpiece at your next dinner party. Modular plates can connect to form patterns and provide an interactive dining experience by encouraging guests to cook for themselves. Each has its own heating coil powered from a single cord by daisy-chaining them together.
Clean up is a cinch. Just remove the ceramic surfaces and rinse. They also store up nicely in an included cradle.

Wow there’s a word we haven’t written here in awhile; multi-touch. Say it with me class. The Miele concept is the kitchen of the future, complete with, wait for it . . . a multi-touch surface. Get the latest recipes and nutritional information as well as instructions and tips on cooking. There’s a built-in scale and the cooktop interfaces with your bluetooth enabled phone to set up grocery lists.
OMG but that’s not all. There’s also an integrated blender and a steamer. HELLO. I need this NOW. Designers Fiona McAndrew and Conor Fallon are only one step away from fulfilling my kitchen fantasies. I just need a Rosie the Robot to do it all for me and my life will be complete.

Hand mixers are pretty boring to look at but this RabMixer by Ming Tong transforms the auspicious cake making requisite into a cute bunny just inviting you to make oodles of yummy foods. It comes with a number of presets for milkshakes and cakes and like any other hand mixer, speed and power are also adjustable.
Sure it seems frivolous but who says we can’t make our appliances cute? Now as to whether or not this actually looks like a rabbit or a baby dinosaur is up to you.

It kind of looks like a laptop if you ask me, but the V-Line toaster concept from designer Thibault Masclet is actually a toaster and an induction cooker all-in-one. It incorporates glass like other toaster concepts, but the induction cooker on the flipside is a new one on me. To be honest, I would prefer a griddle, but if you have something in a pot that needs heating or you simply want to keep your toast warm—it could come in quite handy. Whether it will ever become a real world product remains to be seen.
