Sharp has launched a new range of AQUOS LCD televisions at IFA 2007 in Berlin Germany.

Although not as thin as the company’s prototype model announced at the same time the new XL2E series models will come three sizes of 42-, 46- and 52-inches, offer 100Hz technology and be Full HD (1080p) Ready.

The new models are also 24p, the new buzzword from IFA this year. 24p standing for 24 images per second is the same speed you get in the cinema.

The televisions also offer a contrast value of 10,000:1 for dynamic measurement or 2,000:1 in panel contrast, built in DVB-T tuner and an analogue tuner as well as a YUV connection, VGA input and three HDMI connections. Sound wise and the new models all feature SRS tru Surround.
