No Slipknot now, y’hear?
VIDEO: Ritmo Advanced Pregnancy Sound System plays music to a baby in the womb

A new system for imposing your music taste on your unborn offspring has been developed with the launch of the “Ritmo Advanced Pregnancy Sound System” from the American Nuvo Group.

The belt-based system straps around mum’s tum, hooks up to a music source with a universal stereo plug and pumps the audio into the womb at safe levels, independent to the volume settings of the source device.

Nuvo Group suggests that as well as music the system could be used to play the bump stories recorded by family members or home-made recordings of lullabies likewise family-sourced.

You can hit play on the video above to see a rendered concept of how it works, while the system is on sale now in the US from $130.
