Today, the nice Staff from Panasonic invited us to their HQ (in Tokyo) for a Press Conference, in order to present the latest Bulb-Shaped LED, which is designed to complete the EVERLEDS LED Line-up.

This new Line-up comes with eight new LED Bulbs, which are announced as the most energy efficient, lightest and smallest LED bulbs of the industry. For this new series of LED Bulb, Panasonic used their technology for heat dissipation (thanks an alumite treatment on the surface) allowing a better the energy efficiency. To put is simply, LED’S Luminous efficiency increases as temperature decreases.

During the conference, Panasonic exhibited some of their new LED Bulbs, with classical LED, and incandescent bulbs… We could touch them and notice the new LED Bulb didn’t give off any heat, which is really great compared to old Bulb version…

Another interesting point to underline is you can save up to 2,000 yens per year on any LED Bulb compared to an incandescent bulb.
So let’s imagine you have around 30 incandescent bulb (60W) in your house, if you replace all of them by the new LED Bulb, you can save up to 60,000 Yens (445€) per year. Of course, there’re some costs, you’ll have to invest around 4,000 yens (or 30€) per unit (Standard LED Bulb), or 5000 yens (37.30) per unit for compact LED… Therefore, you’ll have to spend around 120,000 Yens. However, thanks to their lifespan (40,000 hours), you should be able to keep your LED safe during 19 years (5.5 hours use per day)…

And Last point, the 7.6 W Standard type and 5.5W compact type LED bulbs are dimmable from 10 percent to 100 percent.
