Cortado Corporate Server 3.6 Second Edition is now available. One of the highlights of the new version is the multi-use function Present-to-Screen for viewing documents on a laptop or PC screen. Particular emphasis was placed on the seamless integration into company IT environments. The installation has also been greatly simplified in addition to other improved details.
With Present-to-Screen, files of any format can now be sent quickly and simply from a BlackBerry® smartphone to a notebook or PC screen, even if the user forgot the appropriate file at the office. This allows you to hold presentations directly from a smartphone or view documents such as diagrams, blueprints, or complex spreadsheets. The desired presentation can be selected from the company network with the Cortado Explorer. Only a highly compressed view of the presentation is transmitted, providing opportunities for big savings of up to 80 percent in regard to download time and data transfer.
The function offers numerous advantages in comparison to the previous “Print-to-Screen”. The user does not have to install special software nor convert to another file format. It is possible to access the files from anywhere.
In order to ensure seamless integration into the company IT, all actions initiated from a BlackBerry smartphone are carried out on the company network as if the user were sitting at his PC. All user rights on the company network also apply when using the Cortado Corporate Server: for example, the rights do not have to be defined again when accessing a network printer.
