image The Kingston DataTraveler Terra Cotta is made just in time for either Universal’s upcoming Mummy 3 movie or Beijing Olympics 2008. Well, it probably doesn’t matter anyway.

The limited edition 4GB flash drive is engraved with the image of a Terra Cotta warrior that is a form of the funerary art buried with the Emperor of Qin. The whole Terracotta army was discovered in 1974 by locals in Shaanxi province in China; the original figures stand as tall as 6 ft. high, and also include chariots, acrobats and musicians. (The $43 flash drive however only measures at 2.6" x 0.4 x 0.8".) The 7000-figure collection was regarded as the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. This place is worth a visit if you have a chance to visit China. As for the DataTraveler itself, the chassis is made of zinc, and comes with a 5-year warranty. We only hope Kingston has spare caps left should we need replacements.
