NEC LCD Technologies, along with its sales and marketing channels in the Americas, NEC Electronics America, Inc., today announced that they will begin shipping samples of a new 4.1-inch (10.6cm-diagonal),thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) module, part number NL8048HL11-01B, at the beginning of October. Incorporating low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) technology, the new module features wide video graphics array (WVGA) resolution that produces high-quality pictures on portable devices such as ultra-mobile personal computers (UMPCs) and portable multimedia players (PMPs), and on display devices for various small-size broadcasting equipment.
