The kitchen bench is the centre of our kitchen. There is always something cooling, fresh from the oven, or our yoghurt is sitting there and doing its thing. Come summer, it is havoc, though. There are times when you can’t see much of …

Slide Screen is an app for Android that’s probably best seen and we’d heartily recommend this video which shows it in action. It’s a home screen replacement that creates a “meaningful hierarchy” out of a your info. Just drag the centre bar up and down and keep track of your information with colour-coded sections.
This is a great app for anyone struggling with information overload and is available on the Android Market priced at $6.99 (around £4.22). There’s also a free, ad supported version.

“Clinically proven” to reduce muscle strain
3M has announced the availability of its new “Ergonomic Mouse” that it says is clinically proven by the Centre for Ergonomic Research, Miami University and the University of Oslo, to reduce muscle strain.
The 3M Ergonomic Wireless Optical Mouse can help reduce the discomfort associated with carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive strain injury, says the company.
With joystick looks, the mouse offers a vertical ergonomic grip, therefore encouraging the wrist to remain locked, apparently reducing the pressure on the median nerve and keeping arms and shoulders in a more relaxed, neutral position.
The mouse is compatible with Windows XP and up, and Apple and Mac OS 10 X machines and is on sale now priced from ?143.92.

You may (or may not) have read stories about a “pink spot” on photos produced by the the HTC HD2 camera. I had a similar thing from time to time, but it was never a major issue. The whole problem has been put into perspective a little more by pocketnow.com, who have posted pictures taken with an iPhone, Motorola Droid and Omnia HD alongside the HD2. All have a feint pink “hue” in the centre of the shot (which is a little more noticeable if you ever take a shot of a blank wall), so please, don’t let any of this put you off the rather fantastic HTC HD2!

Noticed a pink splodge on your HTC HD2 pictures? This xda-devs post probably shows it best – there’s a feint pink “hue” to the centre of the image. Some have assumed this to be white balance, with people aiming their HD2 camera at the nearest light-bulb to try and reset it.
The issue has now got slightly confused, with some people getting emails from HTC confirming a hardware issue, whilst others don’t seem to have any issue at all. Most people with the newer ROM (ROM 1.43.488.1 (70124)) don’t seem to have any issue either.
