See that text up there? The part of the site that reads “Kindle DX Now with Global Wireless.” Well, the Kindle DX doesn’t have have global wireless… yet. The link is dead but it certainly looks like Amazon is about to make good on its earlier promise to bring global roaming capabilities to the DX as it did with its 6-inch Kindle. In fact, we’re expecting a press release any time now.
[Thanks, Brad]

We carried quite a few videos uploaded by thenexusone.com recently. It looks like everything has been pulled off-line now – the videos have been remove from YouTube and the website is offline. Luckily there’s now more video and much clearer pictures here, here, here and here plus the video below..
That QR code on the back will take you to android.com/holidays apparently (although some say it’ll only work on a Nexus One phone). It certainly looks incredibly smooth. Let’s hope Santa drops one off eh?

More shops now have the European version of the Motorola Droid available for pre-order. Clove did have the Milestone showing until recently, with expansys.com still showing it at £449.99 unlocked with a 9-day leadtime. Superetrader have it showing for £424.35 with stock due on December 7th.
I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the US version last week and it certainly looks the business. We’ve contacted Motorola PR to try and get one of these, so hopefully we can let you know how the European version stacks up.

Will Best Buy offer the lowest priced netbook on Black Friday?
It certainly looks this way right now. Best Buy advertised the Compaq Mini 110C-1100DX Intel Atom based netbook to be on sale for $179.99.
There was some early rumor about an $149.99 netbo…

Another video of the HTC Leo – this time even longer – is now available online. Labelled with the new “HTC Pro Three” branding it certainly looks pretty slick. The Leo is quickly becoming the most saught-after WinMo in the land with a super-fast 1Ghz processor, capacitive screen and multi-touch capability.
The device runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and there’s plenty of screenshots of it from the device. Hell knows how ai.rs have got this phone, but we’re going to camp outside their office to try and catch a glimpse.

The Xperia X2 has had plenty of coverage already but we’re loving this vid from HDBlog. They’ve uploaded a very nice video of the X2 onto YouTube. This is a really in-depth 10-minute vid showing you incredible close-ups of the phone and interface in action.
If you’ve not watch the other videos of the X2, watch this in HD. The X2 certainly looks both quick and smooth. We’re also liking the design with the laptop-esque QWERTY keyboard and control system. Nice.

RealView Innovations‘ mysterious V-Screen certainly looks interesting, but does it really deliver a portable 3D experience?
“The innovation uses special optical components in unconventional ways,” states Eamonn Ansbro, an Optical Engineer who is co-Executive Director of RVI. “No software, electronics or headgear is required. Nonetheless, the optical results are astonishing.” Continued Ansbro: “The video game industry is a perfect fit for our technology. The V-Screen offers consumers a tremendous leap forward in optical enhancement.”
Yes, it’s a gadget, and it does things…special things. Don’t question it’s power! Just trust in the knowledge that the V-Screen is a special, earth shattering innovation that will take portable gaming, and your life, to highs that can scarcely be imagined with your puny human minds. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until September to find out if this thing actually does something interesting, or if it is just a glorified magnifying glass. [Ars Technica]
