Not “Flan” after all
The next version of Google’s Android operating system will be called “Froyo”, according to Erick Tseng, Android’s senior product manager. It’ll follow previous updates titled Cupcake, Donut and Eclair.
Originally, the update was going to be titled “Flan”, but Google appears to have dropped that title in favour of the new one, short for Frozen Yoghurt. It’s not yet clear exactly what the update will include, when it’ll arrive or how much more advanced it’ll be than the current latest edition – version 2.1, which is still officially part of “Eclair”.
We’re welcoming guesses at what’ll be next. Gateau, perhaps? Gingerbread? Gelatin? Or maybe Galette? Is Gelatin even a dessert, technically speaking? Post your suggestions in the comments box below.
