Did your Motorola Droid battery cover slip off into the night on New Year’s Eve, never to be seen again? Did several of your memories from that evening do the same? Well, sorta good news, bad news: I can kind of help with the former.
You see, Verizon Wireless was offering free (free!) battery cover replacements on their website. The inventory sold out quick, surprise, but maybe they’ll have more soon. Normally these little guys go for about $5 plus shipping.
Check their website for more info. [Phonearena via Ubergizmo]

The juxtaposition presented here with these dinosaur chopsticks is a bit baffling, but there’s no arguing kids will probably love them and their one-piece design. But really, chopsticks are ancient, but not this ancient. [4Physics via Geekologie]

If you visited the Giz Gallery this year, you might have witnessed the electrifying (and slightly terrifying) musical spectacle that is ArcAttack. Well, now they have an emulator on their website that allows you to make music of your own.
Of course, you may not be able to play something as complex as the themes from your favorite video games, but you might be able to put together a little rendition of Chopsticks or Funkytown without having to worry about electrocuting yourself. Hit the link to give it a shot. [ArcAttack]

Windows Mobile 6.5 isn’t exactly an exciting OS. It’s been panned by reviewers and customers alike for being too little, too late. That said, the release of 6.5 could still herald some very cool things; like Toshiba’s new line of WinMo 6.5 smartphones. Acc…

Alpine Vista Home Theater is a very techy, film savvy home theater installation firm. Alpine Vista Home Theater’s calling card is certifications as they are THX certified, CEDIA certified. They have Imaging Science Foundation video calibration certifications and an electrical contractors license which you don’t technically need to be a home theater installer in Colorado but they got one anyway. Their portfolio is non-existent on their website but they do have a good industry reputation nationally.

Once again Mike van Alst got me thinking on some aspects of implementing and managing SOA environments. In his blog post Mike states that he is moving away from the idea that SOA is process driven. I recognize the problems with long running process he describes. These have a great effect on maintainability and manageability of the (BPEL) processes and SOA software infrastructure. At this time I’m still favoring a process driven approach over an event or message driven approach. The proce
