T-Mobile is about to announce that it will soon be offering the Motorola ROKR E8, a candybar handset announced earlier this year at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ROKR E8 offers a special morphing touch sensitive keypad and navigation area, with buttons that change depending on the current situation. The keys also have some unique haptic feedback technology behind them that make them feel as if they are actually clicking when pressed.
With 2GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 4GB of further expansion, the ROKR E8 is capable of holding plenty of music, though you shouldn’t forget the 2 megapixel camera with video capture that’s also on board.
It appears that consumers will be able to pick one up for themselves on July 7th for $199 with a new contract.
